Cox is all set to make its services more accessible to the public in regions where they are currently weak. As part of its recent implementations, Cox said that it is going to double up its investments in broadband network in Tucson.
In a press meet, Cox said that it is committed to support education and non-profits in the region of Tucson through affordable broadband services. The company will be delivering an affordable version of Cox internet plans in the region at the outset.
Cox’s decision has been welcomed by the major public figures in the region. Mayor Jonathan Rothschild said that Cox deserved appreciation for their continued commitment to expand gigabit services in the region.
Cox internet plans in the Tucson region will be marketed by the brand name ‘Gigablast.’ The company will offer its internet services at a speed that is 100 times faster than the average speed offered by major providers in the US cities today. Cox said it was in the process of expanding the availability of residential gigabit internet services. The company has spotted a number of Cox locations across the country including the regions in Arizona.
The Gigablast services are already offered in more than 10 US cities at the moment. In all these places, the speed is 100 times faster than the average speed offered by major providers. Unlike most other services, Cox has a history of offering great internet speeds to business customers for more than a decade.
Speaking at the press meet, Pat Esser, President of Cox Communications, said “We are excited to deliver the choice of gigabit speeds to our customers coupled with our 250 employees in southern Arizona and more than 24,000 nationwide, our latest investments and the deployment of the fastest speeds available are powering economic growth and development for businesses and residents of the communities we serve.”
Cox has also plans to bundle its gigabit speed internet plans with satellite television services. However, the Cox channel guide does not give any details about the bundle deals now. The company has finalized to market its Gigablast internet services for $99.9 per month with its popular service bundles. Customers are assured of rich broadband connectivity, perfect customer support and fastest speed.
