DirecTV Latin America has successfully acquired the rights for the popular European thriller TV series, The Last Panthers. This heist thriller series is brought to the viewers by Sky and Canal Plus TV groups. The worldwide distribution of this fan favorite series is handled by Studiocanal and Sky Vision.
“The Last Panthers” will be available to the DirecTV Latin America subscribers from this week. This series will be available to DirecTV subscribers in 122 territories. Canal Plus earlier aired this series in France and it was available to almost 21 million subscribers in Britain, Germany, Italy, Austria, and Ireland.
This exciting thriller is co-produced by France’s Haut et Court TV and Britain’s Warp Films. “The Returned” is another popular series produced by Haut et Court TV, whereas “Southcliffe” was produced by Warp Films.
In “The Last Panthers”, Samantha Morton steals the show with her portrayal of Naomi, who is determined to find the lost diamonds. The other main cast members include Tahar Rahim, Goran Bogdan, and John Hurt. The series was shot in three different languages: Serbo-Croat, French, and English; and the major parts of the show were shot at Balkans, Marseilles, and London.

The story of “The Last Panthers” is mainly centered on Naomi, who is an independent claim specialist. Naomi is being assigned with the job of finding the diamonds, which were stolen during a London robbery. The plot further thickens, when a police officer Khalil arrives in search of the stolen diamonds.
Tesesel says that this series felt “closer to cinema than to television.” This engaging thriller has gained wide acceptance among the fans and many DirecTV subscribers are waiting for the broadcast of this amazing show. “The Last Panthers” was also selected as the 2015 Mipcom opening-night world-premiere TV screening. Furthermore, this series is one of the main competitors for the best breakout international drama for Mipcom 2016’s Content Innovation Awards.
