People in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, will have the option to purchase a new phone and understand more about DIRECTV NOW® or DIRECTV® at an AT&T® store.

Active Communications, Inc. is the authorized AT&T® retailer in this Colorado region. The Active Communications president, Anita Denboske said, “We have wanted to open a store in Steamboat Springs for a long time.”

Denboske opened the retail outlet earlier in June 2019 at 1809 Central Park Drive. Besides this one in Steamboat Springs, she also owns and runs other stores in Edwards, Eagle, Basalt, Aspen, Grand Junction, Dillon, and Glenwood Springs. “We are excited that AT&T® has given this opportunity. We are also excited to become a part of the community of Steamboat Springs,” she said.

The outlet to be situated in Central Park Plaza will have a fresh design, giving a place where one can connect with AT&T’s representatives, whether he or she is looking for the newest phone, a new package, and want to add a TV or the best internet service.

AT&T’s Senior Public Relations Manager, Suzanne Trantow expects it to be an outlet where customers can find answers to their questions about the internet, phones, and TV without needing to drive to Glenwood Springs, Grand Junction, or Vail.

“We really want to see people coming into the store and seeing that we are evolving into a modern entertainment company,” said Trantow. “It’s not just about cell-phones anymore – although, of course, you can still purchase those. But it is also a chance to see all these technologies and how they are working together. It’s our first store in Steamboat Springs, and we encourage people to come in see what options we have.”

Phones have been taken off the walls into the middle of the outlet to make it more easy to pick and choose, plus there are zones in it which people can visit with the company reps to find the plan, phone or service they are looking for.

There are also zones highlighting the most popular tech brands as well as products such as augmented reality glasses, smart-watches, Bluetooth speakers, tablets, and other items conceived to work with smart-phones.

Anita Denboske said the outlet will stay open from 10:00 am to 06:00 pm Mondays through Saturday initially. However, after it is completely staffed, Denboske expects it to be open throughout the week.
