Amy Poehler, the star of the “Parks and Recreation” show, is featured in a series of advertisements for the fastest internet provider, Comcast®. The multitalented actress said it was fun filming the XFINITY® commercials.

The year-long ad campaign ‘Simple, Easy, Awesome – starring Amy Poehler’ makes use of her humor sense to highlight Comcast’s product advantages, across XFINITY® TV, XFINITY Mobile®, and XFINITY® Internet services.

An ad titled ‘Make Yourself at Home’ sees Amy using the voice activation feature of XFINITY® to look at cute baby sloth videos. We also see that the actress has made herself at ease on a couch in an outlet, surrounded by shoppers and staff. The retail store is that of the cable cum best internet provider.

The fully integrated ad campaign, made in corroboration with Goodby Silverstein and Partners, will roll out throughout the year. The director of the spots is Stacy Wall.

Amy Poehler said to the extent that she had a lot of space for improvisation while filming. “It’s always fun to try new things and experiment with what would work in the short amount of time a commercial allows,” she said. “Plus, we are working with kids and dogs, so they are always going off script … The kids are so funny and such professionals. I really look up to them.”

The campaign conveys that you do not need to be expert at technology to get the maximum out of it, and the ads put the actor in real-life locations that range from a residence to an XFINITY® outlet. The campaign will comprise multiple TV commercials to be launched in the upcoming months. They will be aired across TV, mobile, digital, and radio.

Besides the creative content, Comcast’s deal with the American actress includes product integration to its XFINITY® X1 platform. Subscribers can say things such as “Everything Amy Poehler” and “Amy is Awesome” to the voice remote and they will not just be taken to one section with curated collection of her films, talk show appearances, shows, and so forth, but also unlock voice messages from the actress herself.
