In recent news, Time Warner Cable announced that they have signed a multi-year programming agreement with Sportsnet and ESPN Radio Los Angeles 710AM to broadcast the Thompson & Trudell show and Mason & Ireland show, which are two of the most popular sports shows on the networks. The five-hour programming will start on Wednesday, August 3, and the programs will be broadcasted from Monday to Friday between 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PT on both TWC Sportsnet and ESPN LA 710 Radio.

Mychal Thompson and Mike Trudell co-host the Thompson & Trudell show, which will be aired from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon PT from Monday to Friday. Mychal Thompson has been a radio commentator for the Lakers on ESPN LA 710 for the past 13 seasons and he is entering into his 14th season.

Thompson is the Sports Ambassador for native Bahamas, and he was also one of the members of the Los Angeles championship teams in 1987 and 1988. Trudell, a Minnesota native, serves as the Lakers side reporter for both the companies. Before serving as a reporter, Trudell had played for the Wildcats in Division 1 soccer.

The Mason & Ireland show is co-hosted by Steve Mason and John Ireland, and is the longest running sports show in LA. The program will be aired from noon to 3.00 p.m. PT from Monday to Friday on both the channels.
